Beatrice Michlig Obituary
Beatrice M. Michlig, 84, of Dorchester, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 20, 2013 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Dan Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the church, with a rosary service at 4:00 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 am until time of services. Burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Michlig, Dave Michlig, Jason Michlig, Justin Michlig, Jake Dums, Brian Michlig, Clint Dums and Dan Michlig.
Beatrice was born March 3, 1929 in Maryville, Missouri to Thomas and Mae (O'Connell) Manning. She received her education at Maryville Schools and was a 1946 graduate of Maryville High School. On August 16, 1947 she was united in marriage to Lavern Michlig in Maryville, MO. Together they moved to Curtiss, WI in 1947 and lived in the Village of Dorchester from 1954 to April 2012, when she moved to the Colby Retirement Community in Colby. Beatrice was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of
Saint Louis Parish in Dorchester and the Dorchester American Legion Post #517 Auxiliary.
Beatrice is lovingly survived by her children; Larry Michlig of Menasha, Jerry Michlig of Unity, Richard ( Laura) Michlig of Kansas City, MO, Keith (Lori) Michlig of Abbotsford and Connie (Tom) Dums of Rib Lake, 11 grandchildren; Mike Michlig, Dave Michlig, Jason Michlig, Justin Michlig, Jake Dums, Brian Michlig, Dan Michlig, Amanda Proulx, Clint Dums, Michelle Rosenberg and Jennifer Van Rossum, 8 great-grandchildren; Kyle Michlig, Caleb Michlig, Cailey Michlig, Ryker Rosenberg, Morgan Van Rossum, Nevin Michlig, Ayden Michlig and Sidney Michlig. Bea is further survived by her brothers-in law; David (Bev) Michlig and Hilarion (Mona) Michlig, sisters-in law; Dorene Michlig and Cecil Hornick-Ewert.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Lavern in 2005, a daughter-in-law; Deborah Michlig in 2000, a brother; John Manning, a sister; Mary Spire.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, drinking coffee and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bea's family would like to thank the House of the Dove Staff for the wonderful care she received.

To Bea and her family; She has been greatly missed and will continue to be at work. Having that first cup of coffee in the mornings and the conversations with her, that wave good-bye from her window. I enjoyed these things of Bea. Looked forward to them and miss them a lot. She was a great lady, a good woman with only kind words to say about anyone and anything. Very much missed and loved.
