Daniel Reigel Obituary

Reigel, Daniel L.

Daniel Leroy Reigel, 57, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

He leaves his wife of 34 years, Leslie (Pampush) Reigel, his mother Delores (Toy) Reigel, his son Andrew Reigel, daughters Hannah (Stephen Chandler) Reigel and Caroline (Alessio) Tranchell, and sisters Sally (Jerry) Sommer, Nancy Berhow, Patty Fisher, and sister-in-law Lorraine Reigel. He was preceded in death by his father Harland, brothers-in-law Duaine Berhow and Gordon Fisher and brother Stephen Reigel.

Dan met his wife at a church small group in 1983. In 1989, they answered the call to serve as missionaries in Argentina. In 1998 Dan and his family moved back to Marshfield where Dan worked at Marshfield Clinic. He was a longtime member of East Gate Alliance, and served as the Assistant Pastor of Small Groups.

He loved spending time with his wife biking, cross country skiing, and cheering on the Pack. He also enjoyed playing board games, plant keeping, photography, and any excuse for a full-fledged family get-together.

Dan was wise, generous, and servant-hearted. He found joy in giving of himself, always going out of his way to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered for his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior and the hope that comes from a life devoted to Him.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Rembs Funeral Home, 300 S. Oak Ave, Marshfield, WI where the visitation will be from 11:00 am on Saturday until service time. Pastor Mark Lafferty will officiate.

In lieu of gifts, please donate in memory of Dan to the Great Commission Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) which supports international workers.

I'm sad to hear of your Dad's passing. May you feel God's comfort and peace at what seems to be a loss, way too soon.

I'm sure Jenny (X) and Olivia, who are with us this year, would want to send you words of comfort.

Dan was truly one of the kindest people I have ever known. His love for God and faith in Jesus Christ radiated in everything he did. He was the epitome of devotion to his family.

Stu and I always enjoyed any kind of a get together with you guys. It seemed like Dan always had a new board game to play...patiently explaining the sometimes intricate rules as often as needed! He was always ready to help Stu with any project that needed an extra set of hands. And how many years did we participate in small group meetings with you both?

Dinners together were always filled with thoughtful conversation...yet there were lots of old fashioned belly laughs that just felt good. How I wish that there could be more of them.

While I know that we will see Dan again, he will be missed greatly until that time.

I myself have been privileged to know Dan as a man of great patience and kindness. He taught me that a thank you and a smile will give one's heart a feeling of satisfaction in knowing you helped and accomplished a job well done.
Dan.....your physical presence may be done on earth but know that smile continues on in many hearts as a job well done.
