Alberta S. Birdie (Steiner) Wagner, 103, entered into rest on June 30, 2011 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She and her late husband, Walter E. Wagner, who passed away in 1996, shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Alberta (Miller) Steiner. Alberta was employed at the Kramer Hosiery Mill for 20 years, and she also worked at the Bethlehem Steel for several years during World War II. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. She was also a member of the Whitfield Chapter #225 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Bethlehem Womens Club. Survivors: Son, Ralph E. Wagner of Doylestown; grandchildren, David Wagner, Carol Wagner, Todd Wagner, and Kirk Yurchak; four great-grandchildren. Alberta was preceded in death by a daughter Joleita Yurchak, a son Richard C. Wagner, and a grandson Kraig Yurchak. Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2020 Worthington Avenue, Bethlehem, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
