Jacob S. Peters Jr., 67, of Slatington, passed away February 8, 2011 at LVHC, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Betty C. (Miller) Peters. Jake belonged to the Moose Lodge 1375 since 1985 where he earned his fellowship in 2003. He also belonged to the Sons of American Legion, Post 16 in Slatington since 1997. He loved shooting pool and darts and playing pinochle and 7 card stud with his Moose friends. Jake loved taking long walks before becoming ill. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and his family, they were his world. He will be sadly missed by all. Survivors: Wife; sisters, Connie and husband Ronald Muthard, of Palmerton, Cindy and husband William Getz, of Bowmanstown, Brenda and husband Jack Synder, of Lehighton; brothers, Paul and wife Cheryl Peters, of Palmerton, Richard Peters and companion Kevin Bittner, of Texas; step children, Susan and husband Gerald Conrad, of Mayville, NY, Chris Hettler, James Hettler, both of Slatington, Janie and Judy Summers, of Lehighton; grandchildren, Gerald Conrad Jr. and Bryan Conrad, of Mayville, NY, Justin Summers of Lehighton, Kyle Johnson, Billie Johnson and cody Johnson, all of Slatington. Services: 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Viewing 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
