Brian A.(Rodgers)Statum 54,born Feb. 3,1957.Died the morning of Sept.27 from sudden cardiac arrest.Born in Elizabeth,N.J.,raised in Bethlehem,Pa.Brian leaves behind his wonderful daughters,mother,brothers&sisters,uncles&aunts,cousins,neices,nephews. countless friends,teammates,classmates,and fans.You were a joy as a fellow student,a friend to all.A legend at Liberty High,a legend in our memory,and just good old Brian in our hearts!Brian we love you,we'll never forget you.....Thanks for being a good,smart,funny,had my back,and i yurs,friend.....Love you brother.

RIP Brian, you were the MAN! I should know, you whupped me everyday in practice. I can still remember the perfect landing to your back flip, after winning the "Top Hat Tourney," with a lighting single leg, in the closing seconds. I also remember Big Art, talking trash, while rooting you on. My sympathies to the Statum family. Tom Jones

i was deeply saddened when i got the news of the loss of  a great running back partner and friend.
Brian was a great teammate and friend . He will truly be missed.
