Sorry about your loss, I just heard about your husband's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Richard J. Sterner

Amy,
Over 22 years ago Erik asked me if he could marry you. I asked him if he would take care of you, love you, be the spiritual leader of your home and be a loyal Steelers fan. Right before God took him home, I thanked him for taking care of you, loving you, being the spiritual leader of his home and being a Steelers fan. Your mom and I could not have wanted a son in law any better than Erik. He was loved by us as a son. Mackenzie and Caitlyn, you were blessed top have him as your dad. He adored your mom and showed you how you should be loved when you get married. We will miss him but we know we will see him again when we all get to heaven because of our faith in Christ.
Love
Dad

We are joining our Bethany family in heartfelt grief at the passing of such a young man. I personally did not know Erik, and only saw him a few times, but sure did love his home made jams.It is truly a sad time as he leaves his earthly family, but based on what I read, Erik sounded like a wonderful person and I am sure the angels were dancing when he arrived to his true home. I pray for you Amy and your girls, Pastor Jim and Gloria and the rest of the Brashear family. We also lift up the Kirkner family. May you feel all of our collective prayers lifting you up when the days are difficult and know that your Heavenly Father holds you close to Him as you all mourn

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you passed away but that you truly lived. May the memories of Erik and the love of family and friends surround you and give you strength in the days, weeks and months ahead.
Our deepest condolences to the entire family. Erik was a great coach and a Godly role model. He will be forever missed here on earth but will remain in our hearts forever! Until we see you again.
