Albert J. Hunsicker

Hunsicker, Albert J.Albert J. Hunsicker, 86, of Allentown died Saturday, April 4, 2015 in the home of his daughter Diane L. McKenzie of Macungie. He was the husband of Barbara Ann Hunsicker who died February 10, 2015. They had celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on January 27, 2015. Born in Allentown, Albert was the son of the late Lewis E. Hunsicker, Sr. and the late Lillian E. (Dorney) Hunsicker. After graduation from Allentown High School in 1946, he began a career as a professional truck driver at Semmel Excavating, Allentown. He then went to work driving trucks for his brother at Lewis E. Hunsicker, Jr. Excavating, Allentown. In 1979 he began driving trucks for Lower Macungie Township retiring in 1992. He was a member of Cedar United Church of Christ, Cetronia. Albert loved to hunt and fish. He was looking forward to spring and selling corn and chatting with his regular customers at his annual roadside stand. These things he enjoyed, but his family was his life. His grandson David was the apple of his eye. Survivors: Daughter, Diane L. McKenzie of Macungie; grandson, David A. Hunsicker, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Margery Bonser both of Allentown; sister, Betty wife of Henry Rockel of Coopersburg; sister-in-law Dolores Rehrig of Allentown; nieces; nephews. Albert was predeceased by his son, David A. Hunsicker, Sr. in 2013. Services: Funeral Service 11:00AM Wednesday in Cedar United Church of Christ, 3419 Broadway, Allentown.
