Ruth C. Nester

Nester, Ruth C.Ruth C. Nester, 84, of Steinsville, Kempton, Pa. passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, Pa. She was the wife of Paul D. Nester. They would have celebrated their 61st wedding aniversary on May 22, 2015. She was born in Perry Township, Berks County, a daughter of the late Earl J. and Elma M. (Shappell) Dreibelbis. Ruth was a partner and bookkeeper for the former family machining and burner drilling business till 2000. She loved gardening and had greenhouses at her home, where she raised flowers and bedding plants for many years. Previously, during the 1960's she helped with the family farm, which also included raising baby pigs. She was a member of Jacobs Church, New Tripoli, Pa. and she was also a 1950 graduate of Perry Township High School. Survivors: In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons, Jeffrey P. Nester, Lorton, VA, Dennis A. Nester, Trexlertown, Scott D. ( Stefanie E.) Nester of Kempton; a sister Judith A. Kistler, Kempton; a granddaughter, Alyssa V. Nester, a grandson, Jason L. Nester and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Mary E. Mohler, Ella L. Dreibelbis and a brother George Dreibelbis. Services: Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Jacobs Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Contributions: .
