DONALD HOULIHAN Obituary
Donald R. Houlihan was born November 20, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Leola and brother Michael.
A devoted family man, Donald is survived by his wife, Maryann, to whom he was married over 55 years; his brother Francis; his 4 children - Patricia, Donna (Donald), Catherine (Carlos) and Robert; grandchildren - Joshua, Michael, Steven, Thomas, Sven and Virginia (Steve); great grandchildren - William and Matthew. He was a retired Air Force veteran of 20 years, was employed with General Electric for 2 years, Stuart Radiator/ Modine Radiator 21 years as a Technician, and B&T Cabinet Shop for 4 years. His pride and joy was his family. He took many slides and movies of camping trips, picnics and holiday celebrations. He also enjoyed traveling, barbecuing and wood projects.
He served as an usher at Castle Air Force Base. When he retired, he looked forward to attending daily Mass. In his youth, he was a great dancer. He will be greatly missed by his family. Graveside services with Military Honors will be provided by Travis Air Force Base.
Family and friends are invited to a public visitation on Saturday November 6, 2010 at Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home of Atwater 3050 N. Winton Way from 1 PM to 5 PM with a Rosary at 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday November 9, 2010 at 10 AM St. Anthony's Catholic Church 1799 Winton Way of Atwater with burial to follow with full Military Honors in Winton District Cemetery located 7651 W. Almond Avenue, Winton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hinds Hospice. A special thanks to Hinds Hospice for their wonderful support and advice at all hours of the night.

Dad,
I enjoyed spending quality time with you the last week of your life. I'm glad that all of us were able to get together and take care of you. It was fun teasing you and making you smile. I know when you got to heaven Lee was there to greet you. You were probably surprised to see him there. We didn't want to tell you but Lee past away just 6 weeks earlier. We miss you so much already but am glad you are in heaven now. During these past weeks, I have really enjoyed your beautiful smile and teasing you. I know how much you wanted to live and held on as long as possible. We will continue to take care of the remainder of our family here on earth and will stay strong until we see you again.
