MARIA DE COUSILLAS Obituary
Maria Elena Ruiz de Cousillas was born on April 27, 1939 in Arenal Jalisco, Mexico. She passed away on November 16, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, California at the age of 71.Maria Elena now joins her beloved parents; Eleno Ruiz and Maria Yepez, husband; Ignacio Cousillas, brothers; Hugo and Efrain Ruiz, and her son Jose Mendoza.
Maria Elena is survived by, her sister; Esperanza Ruiz, her daughters; Martha Mosqueda (Bruce), and Maria Soto (Jose), her son; Hector Mendoza (Michelle), her grandchildren; Jose, Brandon, and Tyler Soto, TamaraLynn Mendoza and Evita Mosqueda-Chapman, and her great-grandchildren; Christopher, Melina, and Addyson Soto and Jonathan Coburn, extended family; Eduardo Ruiz and Rosie Perez.
A public visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010 in the Chapel of Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Merced. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Merced.

I am so very sorry. This is so sad. Your parents were real good people. They were always so nice to me. You all must be heartbroken. I had just spoke to Martha at AAA and asked her how her folks were doing she laughed and said she was going to buy them Nicotine Gum. Shortly after that my mother told me Nacho died. I felt so bad. I always liked Nacho he was a very nice man and two weeks later your Mom. I don't think she was every the same person after Jose died and she really missed your Dad. I am so sorry you guys. I know you loved them and will miss them. I have nice memories of them. Take care. I Love You. God Bless Your Family. Love Denise
