Uwe Heine
Resident of San Jose
Entered into rest on Friday, October 8, 2010 at his home in San Jose, California. Uwe was born on February 20, 1957 in Lichtenhorst, Germany. He came to the United States in 1987 as a Fulbright Scholar and worked in high tech for many years in Marketing and Alliance management. He left to follow his passion for the environment by becoming a Green Building Consultant. In addition to his love for the earth, Uwe hiked many hills, biked many miles and ran three marathons.
He was a loving husband of Rita Louise Heine of 20 years, cherished father of Johannes, Antonio and Elena Heine. His compassion, wit and intelligence will be missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral service on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 11:00am at Oak Hill Funeral Home's The Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, California 95125. Graveside will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose.

When I looked at Johannes, Antonio and Elena yesterday, I was reminded of the Jesuit motto "Give me a child until he is seven, and I will give you the man". I realized that Uwe has already done the most important part of his job as a father - the kids have such spirit and character, and are already firmly on the right path in life. I can see them stepping up to meet the extra responsibility - they are such a credit to both of you.

So sorry for your loss, but as I look at the pictures posted and see the life Uwe lived it brings a comfort that it was a life well lived. You are all in my prayers.

To the Family of Uwe,
I'm very sorry about your loss. Uwe was an outstanding individual and I feel very privileged to have met him and served with him on the SBDS Board. I very much appreciated his calm and pleasant ways to take on challenging task and then very competently getting things done and always show sound judgement.
