Earle Bowman Obituary
August 2, 1927 - May 18, 2017
Resident of Santa Clara
Earle grew up in Attleboro, Mass. He enlisted in the U.S. Naval Air Corps and was honorably discharged in Jan.1947. He attended Northeastern University and after graduation enjoyed a successful career in Hotel Management. Earle was married to Frances Mary Schullian in 1959 and resided in New Rochelle, NY for 40 years. He retired as the Sr. Executive Vice President at Doral Hotels and Resorts. Late in Earle's career he returned to college and received his Masters Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Earle then began teaching as an adjunct professor at NYU, Univ. of Bridgeport, and Fairleigh Dickinson. After moving to Calif., he was elected to serve on his homeowners assoc. board and also volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society Chapter at Queen of Apostle's Church. Earle most loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed the arts, music, opera, and most of all "a very good meal". Earle was the beloved husband of the late Frances S. Bowman for 50 yrs. Loving father of Stacie, Susan and Lindy, and father-in-law to Cary, Frank, and Rachelle. Extraordinary granddad of Alexandra, Derek, Samantha, Isabelle, Frank, Elisabeth, Madeline and Elijah. He will be deeply missed by his family, his dear friend Nancy, the members of his grief support group and all those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Fri, June 2nd at 1 p.m. at Congregation Church of Sunnyvale, 1112 S. Bernardo Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94087.

Earle was my mentor when I left hotel operations for teaching. I owe my career to him- he was always there for me. As an educator he was deliberate, thoughtful and generous. He will be greatly missed. I know he and Fran are enjoying a Great Meal together.-Kirsten Tripodi
