Devoted husband to Lucia Azevedo of 36 years. Loving father of Susana Azevedo and Mario (Janita) Azevedo. Cherished grandfather to Julia. Norbert touched many lives and will always live in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday January 3, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at DARLING FISCHER GARDEN CHAPEL, 471 E. Santa Clara Street, San Jose, CA. There will also be a visitation at 6:00 PM with a Vigil and Mass Celebration beginning at 7:00 PM at Five Wounds Portuguese National Church, 1375 E. Santa Clara Street, San Jose, CA. Interment will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM, Calvary Catholic Cemetery, San Jose, CA.

I had hadn´t spoke to Norbert in decades, I was thinking about giving him a call & did a search, to find out he had passed away, I´m so sorry for the families loss, he was awesome, I was was a broken lost kid in my 20s & he helped me out with his kindness & laughter, it was just what I needed at the time, so sorry he passed, deepest condolences to all his Family!

Adopted daughter, at least that was what you always called me when you introduced me to others, and I always said "yes that's my adoptive dad".
I want to thank you for being the best dad I've ever had, for letting me and my family be part of yours, for spending so much time laughing, for telling all your crazy stories and most of all thank you for being a wonderful grandfather!
I miss and love you so much!

I would like to thank friends and family for all of the support during this difficult time. The cards, plants, flowers, food, visitors, phone calls, prayers, donations towards masses and to the American Cancer Society were all very much appreciated. If you knew my father he was an intelligent, strong man full of kindness and laughter. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. I am grateful to have had such a loving father. I will always cherish the special moments we shared. He loved our family so much and always did the best he could to teach us and support us in so many ways. My father never left the house without giving my mother a kiss. I am thankful that my father and mother had an amazing partnership that not many have. They were the perfect couple and loved each other dearly. One of my fathers last requests was for us to never separate our family no matter what. His generous loving spirit, and good sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. I was daddy's little girl and miss him so much. Now my father will be in our hearts and live through our family always.

My brothers and I have been doing business with A &B Doors for many years. Norbert, through his own example, instilled integrity and hard work ethics on all those who worked for him, including family members. Norbert was a problem solver, he could always fix or make things right. For us, there was never any reason to go anywhere else, Norbert, provided the best service along with the added bonus, his good personality. He was mathematical, but above that he was a #1 peoples' person, meaning he got along with everyone.

Norbert will be greatly missed.
