Alvin C Robinson
Resident of Libby, Montana
Al "Charlie" Robinson was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 22, 1924 and passed away in Libby, MT on October 6, 2010 at the age of 86.
He grew up in West Covina, CA and during WWII he served as a Staff Sargent in the 22nd Weather Squadron of the AAF. Following his enlistment he attended USC getting a degree in electrical engineering. He started work at Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, CA and then transferred to Lockheed Missiles and Space in Sunnyvale where he worked until his retirement in 1981.
Following the passing of Gertrude, his loving wife of 52 years, Al moved from San Jose to Montana to enjoy photography and fishing, two of his passions.
Al is survived by his daughters, Allene Liebenberg and Marchette Robinson, his son Randall Robinson, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Kootenai Pets for Life, PO Box 1454, Libby, MT 59923. DARLING FISCHER CHAPEL OF THE HILLS.

The morning I got the news that my father-in-law had passed away I decided to enjoy the solitude of a hike at Henry Coe State Park. After climbing for some distance under the canopy of an oak forest I finally made the open range land of Los Osos Ridge.
The roar of jet engines soon broke the silence, too loud to be an airliner, I looked skyward to see 4 military jets breaking through the clouds high above. They were flying north-westerly, and most importantly, in a missing-man formation, either going to a memorial somewhere or perhaps for "Fleet Week".
It didn't matter to me, for at that moment the flight was for Al---he had a deep respect for military service and a passion for all things that fly. He would have felt very honored.
