Born in Oakland, CA
Nov. 10,1922-Nov, 28, 2010
Left this earth a better place for having been here. Leaves behind husband John, son Bruce H. Lund (Robyn), Daughter Lucy Stanley (Jerry), grandchildren William and Sally, and John Virts, and nieces and nephews. Local teacher, artist, and WWII veteran. Mom was looking forward to rejoining her mother and sisters for a picnic.
Services to be held at Darling - Fischer Chapel of the Hills, Sun. 12/5 at 2PM. Donations may be made in her memory to the Tower Foundation of SJSU (a non-profit scholarship fund) c/o SJSU Advancement Services, San Jose, CA 95192-0184.

My mom Josephine Cronk and Betty were dear friends for so many many years. They went sqaure dancing together in the 1940's and in the process met and married my father.
My mother had a wonderful friend in Betty. She was kind, loving, bright and talented. We will all miss her.
My mom passed a few years before Betty. She would have been so saddened to lose such a wonderful friend. We will remember her so fondly.

My son, Chris called me today from California to let me know of Betty's passing. I am deeply saddened that my dear friend of almost 4o years is no longer with us. We shared the love of painting and the arts. She will be forever in my heart. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

My mom was a special person to many people. She was a teacher, artist, historian and researcher, WW-II Veteran and a die hard democrat who believed in helping others and sharing the work of the issues facing us every day. She touched many lives and will be remembered for her efforts and sharing.
