I've known of Hal's friendly, hard working nature as a neighbor and childhood friend of his sons. I feel very lucky to have grown up with a role model as upstanding and patient as this community pillar... a bit of his friendly, confident and quiet demeanor will live on in my boys for sure! My best wishes and condolences to the Petroni family, and Godspeed Hal, I'll miss you.

Hal was my boss for quite a few years and I surely did miss him and many others after Western Electric closed and we all went our own wyas. He will be missed by all and may God Bless and keep you the family during this sad time. We know he has gone home to be with our heavenly father and Jesus. Terri Blackburn

Hal Petroni and Westside Little League are forever bonded together. His 31 years of leadership, sportsmanship and class will be remembered by all who met him and those values will passed on to many future players. Youth sports are creators of young adults and Hal's legacy shines on forever.

I was so sorry to hear of Hal's passing. He was not only a great supervisor but a dear friend. I remember sitting on the bleachers cheering Hal and the team on at the Western Electric softball games; then going out for pizza and beer after. What a wonderful man who'll be missed by many.
With sympathy,

As a Western Electric Section Chief Hal was a role model for me and many others with his ready smile and willingness to listen no matter how busy he was. His quiet confidence and insightful advice were always helpful. Bill Seger

My condolences to Hal's family. My husband Al and I worked with Hal for many years in Sunnyvale. Al also played softball on a league with him. Hal always had a smile for everyone around him.
I lost my husband in 2008 after a long illness and know what a difficult time this is for your family. My thoughts are with you.

My prayers go out to Hal's family. During our Western Electric days we played together on the WE 16" softball league and on a Sunnyvale fast pitch league. A great guy.
