Irmgard Schories Obituary
Resident of San Jose
Born May 12, 1933 in Gilgenburg, Germany to Erika Brueckner and David Kienert, died on November 11, 2010 at San Jose Medical Center in San Jose.
Irmgard spent the early part of her life in Germany, where she met and married Gunter Sendig. They and their two sons, Siegfried and Friedrich, moved to San Jose in 1967. Gunter passed away the year after their move. In 1975 she met and married Kurt Schories. Although they were divorced many years later, they remained close friends.
Irmgard had a strong love for her sons and their children. She enjoyed sharing stories about the adventures of her early life and of her life as a loving grandmother.
She is survived by her son Zig and daughter-in-law Judy, her son Fred and daughter-in-law Dori, her grandchildren Kristen, Christopher, Sarah, and Deanna, her sister Hildegard, her four great-grandchildren, and her niece and nephew.
Friends are invited to funeral services to be held Wednesday, November 24, at 10:30 am, at Lima Family Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to those causes that are important to you.
