I am so shocked to learn of Sal's passing. Sal was one of the best people I have ever had the honor to work with many years ago, and I had always hoped to see him again someday to catch up on things. What a loss to the community and to his friends, and especially to everyone in his family who undoubtedly loved him to no end. His sense of humor made it worthwhile to come to work, and I will always remember his smile. May God rest his soul and bless his family.

Sal was the smartest kid in the class and loved the Giants as we all did in 1962. When Sister Mary ??? caught me listening to the radio during the 9th inning of the 7th game of the world series. I somehow talked her into letting me listen to the game in the cloak room so I could report the score to the rest of the class. Russ Hodges, the Giants announcer excitedly announced that Willie McCovey connected a solid shot to the ball AND ( I instantly and erroneously reported that the Giants won the World Series not realizing that it was Dodger Fans, not Giant Fans doing the cheering. It was Sal that sorted out the situation as we both went from the highest high to the lowest low. "No Green", he said, "not the Giants, the Dodgers won". Sorry Sal. But thanks for those eight years at St Pats when you showed us all what a human being at their very best could be.

On behalf of all my other still united
brothers and sisters of St. Patrick's
School in the 60's, Sal will remain a beautiful memory to us all.
I last spoke with Sal, the week before
our long-awaited re-union in 2006.
My classmate Jack Sanguinetti and I created
this gathering, and sadly, Sal could not be with us at the event. We were so
disappointed and missed having him with us so much, as he left a loving
imprint on all of our hearts. He was a
dear, sweet young guy, 8 years of my
young life. I will remember him as always a sweet little guy, always smiling and saying hello at school,
just a sweet, loving presence.
God bless you Sal.

Sunseri Family,
We were shocked to hear about Sal, he attended St. Patricks Elementry School and was a classmate of my sister Janet (Quartuccio)- Salciccia, and my brothers and myself knew him well, and grew up with Sal in the old neighborhood, along with his entire family we all knew each other well, he always smiled, said hello asking how you were, just a really great guy all around. Just too young to be taken away from us, he will truly be missed by all, our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time. Sal, Attorney, Partner, and Friend,
I have had the pleasure of knowing you since 1978 when you joined the law firm of Stenberg and McKenney, and soon after,as a Partner in the growing firm of Stenberg, McKenney, and Sunseri. You developed into one of the best trial lawyers in the state. We savored our wins and suffered our our losses.
As a trial lawyer in one of the most combative professions, you were always respected and admired by your peers. Always honorable, you earned the highest compliment: a true gentleman.
A fellow judge whom you tried a case before commented to me that you singlehandedly countered every negative stereotype of attorneys. You were respectful, honest, prepared, and did a superb job.
I will always remember you as the junior partner who became the bedrock of the firm and a legal superstar. You always did your usual great job, flavored with a dose of your Italian passion and humor.
I enjoyed our friendship over the years. We participated in our life milestones. You stood by me at my wedding when I married RoseMarie. I stood before you and was honored to marry you and your beloved Barbara. We rejoiced over the births of our children. My daughter was born on your birth date. You have also been a wonderful friend and support to my family. They share in this sadness.
You belong to one of the nicest families I've had the pleasure of knowing. The Sunseri's are warm, loving, full of laughter, and are always there to support each other. Their love is so great that I've often felt like I am part of the family. You have left Barbara, Sammy, and Scott in good hands.
You left too early, my friend. You will never be forgotten . You were one of the finest people I've known.
You will be missed by me and my family.
May God show favor upon your good deeds and bless you.

We started practicing law about the same time way back when--although he was on the defense side of our cases. Sal proved time and time again passion and reason can co-exist in a advocate. I met Sal when we were in law school. I was immediately impressed with his intelligence and wit. I was also impressed with his humility: a trait he showed all through his all too short life. I am so, so sorry to hear about Sal. It's just too hard to believe. The world needs more decent and positive people like Sal, and it's just so very unfair to have this happen. He always made me feel like a real person at a depo, not just a functionary out of sight. He always asked about the farm, and that he would even remember it just goes to show his generosity of spirit and kindness. He always had good things to say about you and the children. It's truly all of our loss. I just don't understand some things that happen in this world sometimes. Love,

I was so shocked and dismayed to hear about Sal's untimely death. I had the pleasure of trying a couple of cases against Sal over the years, and he was always honest, straightforward, and dependable, and a ferocious advocate for his clients. Outside of the legal "boxing ring" in which we practiced, usually as adversaries, I got to know and respect him as a kind, funny and warm-hearted soul obviously devoted to his family, friends and partners. I am so sorry for his family and many friends that you have lost such a great guy far too early in life.

Where does one begin to put words to what Sal meant to his family, his friends, the Little League and soccer league, and the community as a whole? Sal was one of a kind. 'Kind' being the key word. Philip and I extend our heartfelt sympathy to Barbara, Samantha and Scott, and his wonderful extended family. Working with Sal was a wonderful experience. When we moved to the Central Valley, I knew I would never find another workplace as warm and family centered. Sal created that environment and nurtured it. Sal never missed celebrating a co-worker's birthday lunch, and monthly pot luck luncheons around the conference room table where much laughter and storytelling enriched all of our lives. Sal was an incredible attorney and amazing friend. Sal, we know you will be cheering the Giants in the playoffs . . . All our love to the family, Monica & Philip Barsotti, Ryan and Patrick, Bob and Bill

Sal and Barb are the greatest neighbors we've ever known, in a neighborhood full of great neighbors. Not only that, they've been great friends as well. We're absolutely devastated at the loss of this exceptional man. His family and friends have always come first, and we know of many things he did for people quietly, without any thought of recognition or praise - just giving because it was needed. He was always so great with both of our sons - I remember many an evening when he'd be out front, playing catch with both Scott and our son Steven when I'd pull into the driveway from work.
Barb, Scott, & Samantha - please know you have lifelong friends right across the street whenever you need us.
