Joseph "Joe" Anthony Taormina of Sunnyvale passed away at the age of 89 in the company of his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Wanda Taormina. Joe is survived by his daughter Sharon (Frank) Anderson, son Nick (Cathy) Pavloff, grandchildren Owen (Cherie), Tanya (Dan), Natalie and Mike, great-grandchildren Jackson, Grace, Natasha and Tanner.
Joe was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and relocated to the San Francisco Area at a young age and later to Sunnyvale in 1977 where he remained. Joe served in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He enjoyed a long and successful career in the Beer Industry in San Francisco. He was always cheerful, kind and had a smile on his face.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation and rosary at 7pm on Monday September 20th at the Spangler Mortuary (399 South San Antonio Road) in Los Altos. On Tuesday September 21st a funeral celebration will be held at St Simons Church of Los Altos at 11:00am with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
