Carmen Mifsud

Longtime resident

of San Bruno

Passed away on October 10, 2010 at the age of 81. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Miller-Picchi and Jozet Vella, both of Millbrae; her grandchildren, Joseph Miller (Kathryn), Elizabeth Clements (Chris), and John Miller (Maria) and great-grandchildren; Maria Dolores, Gavin, Leah and Emily Carmela; dear sister of Doris Curmi, Jack Brincat and Lillian Hili.

She was a native of Qormi, Malta and moved to this Country in 1962. Carmen was an active member of the Maltese American Social Club and the San Bruno Senior Center. She loved spending time with her family, tending to her garden, cooking, traveling around town and taking day trips.

Family and friends may visit after 6:30 PM Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. Dunstan's Church, 1133 Broadway in Millbrae where the Vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Church. Committal will follow the service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have known Na na just about all my life and have never met such a strong willed loving women. She loved her family more than anything. She will be missed by many, especially myself. I will never forget our many conversations outside on your front steps when i came to visit, you always brought a smile to my face and made me laugh your words of wisdom and outlook on life were priceless. especially the time when you said to me "how happy you were for me when i started my own family" it met so much to me when i would show you pictures of my family and to see you smile. I will miss you Na na.
