Marie Delma Cortez
Resident of San Jose
Born August 14, 1956, age 54, entered into eternal life on October 30, 2010. Proceeded in death by her son, Joseph Lyn Smith. She is survived by her adoring son's, Larry Rios, and Eric Valtierra. Beloved parents, Alonzo & Dora Cortez. Loving brothers & sisters, Israel Cortez, Elim Cortez, Belinda Camarena & Nancy Ceja. Marie was an honorable care giver for 8 years. With a big smile and unconditional love Marie always thought of everyone else first. Her courage and gentleness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 South 2nd St. San Jose, CA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at the above location at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mission City Memorial Park, Santa Clara. Our sincerest gratitude to Bellmont Villages for their love and support.

I remember Marie during this holy time, All Saints Day and All Souls Day, one year after her death. I offer my prayers for her soul. I will always remember her generous help to me and my family when my father was dying. God bless you, Marie, forever.

I have to say that Marie was such a good friend to everyone at Belmont Village ,she always listened and would greet you with that infectious smile. To Erik. My deepest sympathy for your loss, I know there are no words to leviate your pain as I know this feeling. Your mom was a terrific, loving and caring person I have ever known. She is now at peace, no more pain and in Gods loving hands. Death can take away our loved ones but never our loving memories will live for ever in your heart, your mom will be with you in spirit you will never be alone as she is your guiding Angel now.
