Charles Long Obituary

Charles LaRoy Long

Resident of San Jose

Jan. 27, 1947Nov. 16, 2010

Charles LaRoy Long, 63, of Kilgore, TX. and later a transplant to San Francisco, CA, went home to the loving arms of God, family and friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

He leaves his two surviving sisters, Elaine Boyett, with husband, Jim and Sherry Castaneda, with husband Dave, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a great-great nephew, Aunts and cousins. We will all celebrate Charles' new life.

Charles is greatly remembered as a fanatic of old songs from the Big Band era to the sound of the 60's. His love of old movie classics will be greatly remembered as well.. his favorite being Abbott and Costello's "Who's on First?"

Charles loved to read about WWII and about all the Presidents of the past. His knowledge of history was outstanding.

He was a gentle soul with little children who always loved him dearly.

Charles, you are greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts Keep On Rockin'
