Alice Hanako Iwashita

Resident of San Jose

Jan. 17, 1933-Oct. 23, 2010

Alice Hanako Iwashita passed away on Saturday October 23, 2010. Alice was the loving wife of the late Herbert Iwashita, and is survived by her devoted sons Scott and Brian Iwashita, daughters-in-law Julie and Sachi Iwashita, and grandchildren Kaity, Eric, Kassidy, Alison and Paul Iwashita. We will all miss her dearly.

Alice was born on January 17, 1933 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was the daughter Yoshiichi and Iso Teramae and sister of Tokiji Teramae, the late Yoshiko Hayama, the late Mori Teramae, Thomas Teramae, Arthur Teramae, Margaret Tanigawa and the late Harold Teramae, all of Hawaii.

She grew up in Honolulu and had been a resident of San Jose for 48 years. The family wishes to thank the staff of Belmont Village of San Jose for their kind care of Alice for the past several years.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial service at the San Jose Buddhist Church on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 5:00 pm. Alice will be interred at Diamond Head Memorial Park, Honolulu, Hawaii at a later date.
