I'm late discovering the loss of Annette. She was a lovely lady and consistent friend, and I regret that we won't see her again. She will always be fondly remembered.

I got to know Annette on several genealogy trips to Salt Lake City. She was such a lovely, gentle lady who also knew how to have a good time. She will be missed.

Bob, Shane, Brent and Reed, we share in your loss. I hope these words can bring you some comfort, as they have comforted me when experiencing a similar loss.

Henry Van Dyke's "Gone From My Sight"--

"I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me -- not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

And that is dying."

Annette was a considerate flatmate, a kind friend, a charming hostess and a wonderful mother. We saw Annette and Bob, and Shane, Brent and Reed, all too infrequently but we will remember her with much love.

"Crossing the Bar"
by Alfred Lord Tennyson

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.

I send comfort and strength at this time for Annette's family and friends.
I found these words from Tennyson to be of comfort for me at times of family passing.

Annette was a wonderful person. I'm so sorry that her dear ones had to lose her so soon. She will be very much missed.

I remember Annette and Bob as both wonderful and caring individuals in the time I knew them during my years of association with the Boy Scouts in Saratoga. My heart and blessing go out to the entire Woolsey family in this time of grief and mourning. I know that Annette is with our Father in Heaven smiling down on Bob and their 3 sons (Shane, Brent and Reed). Terry Markle Sr and Peggy Markle

Too young. Too much undone. Too many people who will miss her.

Annette was knowledgable and personable, as well as generous with her time, in assisting the public in researching their family histories at the Santa Clara City Library. She will be missed very much by the library staff.
