I am so glad to have had the opportunity to see my Aunt Carol last summer. We had a family reunion in beautiful Twain Harte and Carol was as warm and welcoming as ever. She had a wonderful smile and kind words and never left the house without wearing her lipstick! She loved the sun and traveling and always had the best haircut. Will miss you. God bless.

Dear Jeff, Matt, and Scott...I am so sorry about the death of your "Ma". She loved you all so much, and would just beam when she would give me updates on you all every summer. I won't be able to walk past her cabin or spot on the beach without thinking of her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Betsy (Slakey) Knepper

Dear Jeff & Lisa, Allan & Barbara, Matt & Lindsey, Scott & Lisa: We are deeply saddened about the death of Carol. I know how difficult this must be for you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers. We are sorry we can't make it up to Clovis for the funeral, but we will be with you in spirt.
We are so glad that we made it up to see her while she was still stong in spirit, it was almost like a farewell party with friends and family. Carol certainly enjoyed all the company and I was able to give her one last hug before returning home to San Diego.
I will always cherish the memory of being able to tell her that she was the best "sister" ever and to thank her for all her love and support over the years.
Carol was such a kind, loving soul. Carol taught me many things over the years, she taught me the value of keeping "girlfriends" and she did that by example. Carol had great girlfriends who were always ready to go for coffee or a quick trip to Reno. Thank you ladies... one and all! Carol taught me the joys of travel by sharing some of her "bucket list" adventures. Carol showed me how to enjoy the company of loved ones and friends by giving of her time and talents. Carol taught me how to "share" life's treasures by sitting on the patio at Twain Hart and admiring God's gifts of birds and trees with myself and others. Carol taught me the gift of love by the way she treated her dog "Tucker".
When I was young, Carol taught me how to drink coffee and smoke cigarettes., something she regretted to the end. Carol told me to tell everyone never to start smoking and continue to help those who do smoke to quit. Carol was a strong and independent women who I loved and will miss very much.
Carol adored her son Jeff . When he was a young boy she attended and supported all his sports events. She was so proud of him. She was to continue in that support of Jeff and carried it on to Matt and Scott as well. Carol was always ready to give of herself to her "boys" when ever they needed her. I remember those times when the boys would call her just to say "Hi' and how she would just beam. Carol was so pleased that both of the boys found a loving mate to enjoy life with.
Carol was looking forward to meeting her new Granddaughter and sharing all the joys of having a little girl in her life and of becoming a Great Grandmother. I know the family will keep Carol's memory alive with special stories to share with the new little one.
Again I know how much all of us will miss Carol and I encourage us all to draw on each other for strengh during this sad time.
My heart goes out to my family. May God keep you and bless you during this time and always,
Love, Joanie (Mueller) Maske and Bob Maske
