Died quietly at home in Los Altos after a brief battle with Cancer. Betty is survived by 8 of her 11 children, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Dolores Hoover of York PA and Mary Tracy of Scottville MI.
Born in Manistee, MI, Betty followed a long stint as wife and mother with a professional career as Librarian at Stanford University.
Visitation: Wednesday Nov. 3: 6-7:00 PM, at the Lima Family Mortuary, 446 N Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara with Rosary at 7:00 PM and remembrances after. Funeral: 1:00 PM Thursday Nov 4 at St Simon Church, 1860 Grant Rd, Los Altos Followed by a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Villa Sienna Auxiliary, 1855 Miramonte Ave, Mountain View, CA 94040.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of Betty and so soon after losing Jim as well. I have so many, many fond memories of the wonderful Vadeboncouer family and am just heartbroken that I did not hear sooner and missed the services. God Bless and keep you all - you are all very special to me and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Betty was an amazing, inspirational woman. My heart goes out to all the family, they were blessed to have her as a mother.
