E.M. Lewis Obituary
Born Elbert M. Lewis in Holdredge, Nebraska, he married Helen Lacy of Omaha in 1935. Shortly thereafter, they moved to California. His loving wife of 62 years died in 1997.
Mr. Lewis was a longtime theatre sound engineer and was recognized with awards from The Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences and The Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers. The awards, received in 1987 and 1990 respectively, were for his many contributions and achievements in theatre sound.
His son, James Lewis of San Bruno and his daughter, Lynelle Raymond of Salt Lake City, survive him as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 siblings.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration and remembrance of his life on Saturday, Oct. 8th from 1-4 pm at the Country Inn, 998 S. De Anza Blvd., in San Jose, California.
