Jeanne Rogers Hamrick

Resident of San Jose

Nov. 12, 1921-Nov. 4, 2010

jeanne passed on peacefully Nov. 4, 2010. She was born in Dianna, West Virginia. She attended and graduated from University of West Virginia.

During WWII as a certified pilot she volunteered for the Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron (WASPS). They filled the need for in country air pilots to ferry new aircraft to staging areas for the war effort.

After the war she married her childhood sweetheart C.B. Hamrick and remained married until his death in 2001.

She was an accomplished bowler, tennis player and golfer. She once parred the 18th hole at Pebble Beach!

She was a great sports fan and supporter for her 3 children in all of their many activities. She passed away knowing her beloved Giants won the World Series!

She is survived by her brother and two sisters, her three children and three grandchildren.

At Jeanne's request no services will be held and any donations in her memory could be given to Guide Dogs for the Blind at P.O. Box 3950, San Rafael, CA 94912.
