Hi Kapowich Clan,

So sorry I missed the service. Jake will live on in my heart as one of the most fun loving dads of the hood. Always quick with his smile and jokes. Never a dull time around him. Great to grow up with him and know he was always there for any kid in the hood. Guess that came from having so many kids himself, he sort of just took us all on as extra kids. Much love to you all at this really tough time. Always.

You know you have lived a good life when your family stays so close by you to the end. Uncle Jack was a loving man, full of life, full of laughter, and ever the soldier. Though I didn't get to see him much, I will miss him. All my love to Aunt Hubie and all the wonderful Kapowich cousins.

Uncle Jack was a larger than life personality with an infectious laugh. He will be missed by so many people he touched over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Hubie and the Kapowich family.

I remember him most from Serra Elementary and Little League when Pat and I were there in the same grade. Always highly respected, I had no idea how much he had accomplished in life. What a great legacy, he'll surely be missed.

We have thought of Jake as an officer and a gentleman all the years that we have known him. He always had time to chat and tell a joke, and talk about his kids and grandchildren. Our thoughts are with his family.

To the Kapowich family,

I send my deepest sympathy at the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by many of us who knew him in Sunnyvale. He was a good and fun loving neighbor. We used to love to see him out there running and keeping in shape. Once a Marine! Always a Marine.
May the many happy years and memories you shared with him bring a smile even as you mourn his passing. God bless each of you.
May his memory be eternal.

Jake has been a neighbor of mine for many years and I will miss the frequent talks we had as he took a walk past my house. We share a history of being World War II veterans, he in the Marines and I in the Navy. He will have a full military burial and he was very proud of his service to his country.

Thought some time of what I can say about a friendship of over 80 years. Even though Jack was in California and I in Mass, we have kept in close touch, calling each other on our birthdays and visiting in CA and Mass. We were neighbors on Circuit Ave in Worcester and first met when we started walking and getting around visiting each other and doing things together. His mother and father and sister Jean were a second family to me and were great people. Jack was the best man at my wedding and I was best man at his wedding. To Hubie, a wonderful Rhode Island girl as was my wife. My sympathy to Hubie and her family. Jack talked to me a lot about his family and you could see how much he cared for them. I wish I could have gotten to know them more personally. Jack was truly a great person and will be missed by all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kapowich family. Jake was much loved by my father and mother, Fred and Marilyn. He was a very special man. I still can see him jogging backwards on the track at Cupertino Jr. High. God Bless you all.

Our wonderful Uncle Jack is at rest. I'm sure that he and little Jake exchanged greetings at the pass, one his way to heaven and the other on his way from heaven! Thank you dear Uncle Jack for all of the laughter and happiness you brought across the miles to our home! Our prayers are with the Kapowich family. love xxxoo
