Resident of Pollock Pines

May 12, 1927 - Oct.26, 2010

Lee L. Simpson, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Pollock Pines on October 26, 2010. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary E. Simpson; beloved father of David (Sue) Simpson of Oregon, Steven (Barb) Simpson of Pollock Pines, Jim Simpson of San Jose and John Simpson of Pollock Pines; Brother of Charlotte Hanson of San Leandro, Robert Simpson of Discovery Bay, True Mary Beeler of Ohio and Jim Hall of MO; grandfather of Kelly, Danny, Brian, Emily, Stephanie, Jes and Marley.

Lee was a native of Hudson, Kansas. A Navy veteran of WWII, Lee was a printer and lithographer for 42 years and a part owner of Craftsman Printing in Campbell, CA. Lee worked and lived in Campbell before he and Mary moved to Pollock Pines in 1989 to be near family and pursue his passion for fishing.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 12 Noon at the Gold Ridge Forest Lodge, 4101 Opal Trail, Pollock Pines. Private inurnment has been held. A guestbook may be signed and condolences left at www.chapelofthepinesfunerals.com Contributions are preferred to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619 or www.snowlinehospice.org. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, Placerville.
