Passed away peacefully on Nov. 12 at age 54
A Memorial Mass at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in San Jose on Friday, Nov. 19 at 2pm will be followed by a celebration of Marie's life. Inurnment will take place at Happy Homestead cemetery in South Lake Tahoe, CA at a later date. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance 910 17th St N.W., Ste 1190 Washington, DC 20006 www. ovariancancer.org

Thinking of Marie today. What a wonderfully vibrant soul and bright light she was here. Her vibrant personality, big smile, infectious laugh, gerenousity, selflessness, strength, that playful (and sometimes mischievous) twinkle in her eye, and her fierce love for her family are what I will always remember and hold dear. Though she is dearly missed here, I love the thought of her and my Mom being together. Can't wait to be with them again one day.

This year has been such a hard year, even though it has been 10 years since you have been gone it feels like it has been the hardest year. I miss you so much!!!! I love you Mom so incredibly much!!!! I can’t wait until I can hear your voice again.

I love how you honor Marie still. What an amazing person she was here...I count myself blessed to have k had her in my life! Some days my spirit longs to be home and reunited with those who are there. Some day... but not yet.

It has been almost a year since my beloved Marie passed away. It heartens me that she touched so many lives during her life. I was blessed to have her share her heart with me and I will love her always.

My Mom was a wonderful, caring, and loving person. She was a huge part of my sister and I's life. I truly miss you mom and love you so very much. I hope you are enjoying heaven and your new adventure in life with Grandpa and Grandma. I miss you so very much!

Marie was a special person. Her courage and positive attitude is an inspiration to me. I will miss our Starbuck "chatter" times together. She will remain in my hert forever.

Marie was my Aunt. I can honestly say Marie was one of the most amazing, encouraging, inspirational people I know. She was always sending encouraging emails and when I was going through a difficult situation, she was always there to with words of encouragement and love. She once sent an email that was entitled "Keep Your Fork"...the jest of story was to keep your fork something better is yet to come. Marie was my Aunt and one of, if not THE, most amazing people I have ever known! Even through her battle with ovarian cancer, she remained the most positive, encouraging, strong, and genuinely happy person I have ever known. My life was made richer just by having her in it. I count her as one of my greatest blessings..what a treasure! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
So sorry that I won't be able to get down there for the celebration of Marie's life...there truly is MUCH to celebrate!! My thoughts and prayers are with you Steve, Katrina, Elizabeth and the rest of her family.
I am truly heartfelt sorry for your loss.

Marie and I started working at Raytheon Semiconductor on the same day in June of 1984. I thought the world of her. She was very kind, a hard worker and everyone there liked her immensely. I hadn't see her since I left Raytheon in 1990. I wish I would have kept in touch. Condolences to the family and all her friends.
