Marie Escover
Resident of San Jose
Age 93, died peacefully in her sleep in Fremont, CA on Friday, November 5, 2010. Marie was born on March 23, 1917 in San Jose, CA. On July 17, 1938, she married her first and only "sweetheart", John P. Escover. Marie loved unconditionally and was known for her many gifts, among them generosity, hospitality, kindness, and a joyful heart. Her home was frequently filled with family and friends who came to enjoy a delicious meal and an afternoon or evening of cards and laughter.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband John P. ("Jack") Escover. She is survived by her two sons, John L. and Norman F. Escover and their wives, Margaret and Julia, and eight grandchildren, Debbie Candau, Tami Rocheleau, Jill Layfield, Norman, John, Christopher, Timothy and Tyler Escover. She was the proud great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren.
In celebration of her life, a Memorial Mass will take place at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 20101 McKean Road, San Jose, on Saturday, November 27th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
