Shirley DeFrates Obituary

Shirley Maxine

"Mueller" DeFrates

Resident of Santa Clara

7/9/21 - 10/10/10

Lost her long and courageous battle with cancer and went home to live with our Father in Heaven. She passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter and grandson near her. What a joyous reunion for her parents, sisters and brothers to be reunited again. She was the beloved mother of Deborah L Mueller, 49, and James H Mueller Jr, 51, and the most beloved grandmother to Brandon James McMahan, 16. She is survived by her two children, her grandson, a sister, and several generations of nieces and nephews. Shirley was known as "sweet Shirley" and was truly loved and admired by all who met her.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 875 Quince Ave, Santa Clara, Thursday, 10/21. Viewing 4-6, service at 6, with dinner immediately following.

Mom, there is a sadness in our hearts, we love you more than words can say, and we will miss you dearly until that day we meet again.

What an amazing woman and mother Shirley was. I will miss so much all the parties at your home for any occasion just to have a party with chinese food and games! Shirley, Debby, Brandon and Buddy(and Jim Sr) all of you just were so full of love and warmth for everyone, It was clear how much you all loved each other. I will remember Jim Sr and Shirley sitting on the couch talking about the good old times...Deb and Brandon, I know you will miss her so much but remember she is watching you from heaven and smiling that famous smile. Her last birthday party in July was so special, Deb, you are an amazing daughter and Brandon was definitely the light in her life...he is a wonderful young man. We love you,
