Frank "Blanco" Dalgleish

Resident of Los Gatos

July 21, 1950 - Feb. 7, 2011

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for his presence in their lives, his family announces that Frank Dalgleish passed peacefully at his home with his family by his side.

Frank was born in Alberta, Canada, but spent most of his life in California. Frank retired after 27 years as a member of Sheet Metal Local 104. He loved the trade and continued working with his tools after retirement. Frank and his wife recently moved to Daytona Beach, Florida to complete his lifelong dream of building a personal submarine to explore the surrounding coast. He continued work on his submarine after being diagnosed with cancer in August and it provided him great comfort through his final days.

Frank's passion for life led him on many adventures. He loved riding his Harley and was a long time member of the 801 Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed travelling with his wife, family, and friends, including sailing trips throughout Greece and the British Virgin Islands. Frank had a unique zest for life, enabling him to easily make friends and enjoy life to the fullest.

Frank is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his wife Shelly, daughters Julie (Norman), Crystal, and Kate, grandsons Alex and Noah, and sisters Sharon (Morley) and Randene (Leo) and his niece and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Redwood Estates Pavilion in Los Gatos on March 6th at 2pm.

Frank's family is setting up a tool lending library to help others build their dreams. Donations can be made in memory of Frank to Memorial Account #898042540455 at Bank of America (specify "Florida").
