Harry "Bill" Reifschneider

Harry "Bill" Reifschneider passed away peacefully on May 13, 2012 at the age of 85. Bill was born in Belleville, IL and spent his childhood in Harvey, IL, before serving his country in the United States Navy. While stationed at Moffett Field Naval Air Station, he met his late wife, Ruth, with whom he raised two children. They settled down in Sunnyvale, where Bill would spend the rest of his life. He worked for many years for Fairchild Semiconductor, getting a first hand look at the birth of Silicon Valley. In retirement, Bill enjoyed traveling, watching sports, and spending time with his family.He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Cornelia Reifschneider, brother, Jack Reifschneider, sister, Pat Sexton, wife, Ruth Reifschneider, and son, Jim Reifschneider. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Knapp, daughter in-law, Lorraine Reifschneider, grandsons, James (Linh) Reifschneider, Kurt (Angeline) Edsinger, and Gregg (Vanessa) Edsinger, great-grandchildren Jack Reifschneider, Kate Edsinger, and Emma Edsinger, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at LIMA CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave., Sunnyvale. Funeral Service Friday, May 18 at 11:30 a.m. at above funeral home. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos.
