Resident of San Jose
Passed away peacefully at his home in San Jose on Monday, September 3rd after a lengthy illness. A San Jose City Parks and Recreation Speicialist. He is preceded in death by his father Stanley J. Ford in 2009. Jeff was the 5th of 5 children born to Stanley J. Ford, an Air Force Officer and Sharon L. Ford in 1966 on Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY. After his father retired in 1976, Jeff would move to San Jose where he would graduate from Leigh High School in 1984. He would find his dream job working with the youth of San Jose in 1998. He was employed as a Specialist for the San Jose Parks and Recreation Dept, where he would continue until his death. Jeff married his beloved wife Melissa at Disney World in Orlando, Fl in 2000 and they were blessed with daughters Makena in 2003 and Katelyn in 2007.
Jeff's passions included family trips to Cedar Ridge, Disneyland and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He also loved playing and referring sports such as hockey, football and baseball. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Melissa and their two daughters, Makena, 9 and Katelyn, 5. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon and siblings, Mike, Jim, Greg and Karen. A sharp wit, with an outlandish sense of humor, Jeff will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial Mass will be held at the Transfiguration Church at 11:30 am on Monday the 10th of Sept. 2012. 4325 Jarvis, San Jose CA. Inurnment will be private.

I am sorry for giving Jeff and his family my sympathies so late, but as I just heard we lost him I wanted to at least let you all know I he was in my thoughts and prayers all summer and fall. My heart aches at losing Jeff. He was in my Seven Habits class in the City and was such an open, happy and eager to learn student. Not everyone is and for a teacher a student like him is very special. I will miss him. He brightened the world where ever he went.

Jeff was one of my first friends at Leigh, he made Algebra bearable and kept me laughing. I am thankful for all the many memories of our youth and early adulthood. Being so kind when my dad died.
