Peter Aimonetti Obituary

Peter William (Bill) Aimonetti Resident of San Jose With a heartache no one can heal, we announce the passing of Bill on 9/22/12. He was born on 9/9/34, the only child of Peter and Emma. He was married for 56 years to his devoted wife, Doreen, who he met in high school. Bill attended San Jose High and San Jose State. He was active in sports, mostly football, but loved all sports. It must have been in his DNA. After being drafted and spending 4 years in the U.S. Army, he started working full-time in the meat industry and was a member of the Butchers Union 506 and retired in 1995 due to health issues. With the complications of Parkinson's and heart disease, he was taken from us. He and Doreen were blessed with three sons, which gave his life purpose and an abundance of joy. Tony (Peter) (& wife Cathy), Steve (& wife Wendi), and John. The joys kept coming with the births of 6 grandchildren. TJ (Peter), Christopher, Justin, Nico, Shelbi, and Cammi. Also one great granddaughter, Niarah, and a bonus granddaughter, Aalijah. No brothers or sisters of his own but he had his brother and sister in-laws - Ron & Natatlie Rizzo, Bill & Lorieta Ulleseit. Also nephews - George Rizzo, Bill and Glen Ulleseit and one niece, Doreen Ramona. Cousins are Susan Bondi, Richard and Robert Ravizza and Wayne Aimonetti. We love you and we will all miss you. Bill's wishes of a private service have been honored. Donations can be made to the Parkinson's Institute or the MS Society of Santa Clara Valley in memory of Bill.

Dear Mrs. Aimonetti...please accept my condolences on the passing of your husband. My message may be strange, but feel I must proceed. My paternal grandmother was an Aimonetti, Madelena Aimonetti Saccoman. I am trying to find any information I can find on my grandmother's Oklahoma beginnings. She was born in Locana Italy and moved to Oklahoma with her parents, then moved on to northern Minnesota where she met my grandfather and raised my father and his brother. If you can help with any information, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. Kathy Saccoman Van Wert

That big bear of a voice was only matched by the one of the kindest hearts. Mr.and Mrs. Aimonetti always made me feel at home and have fond memories of growing up on Antonio Ln. The campbell community has lost a great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you,

Bill and Doreen are our best friends and 1500 miles will never change that. We spent so many happy times together, whether we were eating pressed duck and drinking side-winder fangs at the Lanai, going to dinner in San Francisco, seeing Sinatra, or just staying home while Bill barbequed rib eyes in the back yard. All of our memories of our times together are happy ones. We loved Bill, and he will be missed.
