Gladys Smith Obituary

Gladys (Beaton) Smith, age 89, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham after a period of declining health. Born and raised in Framingham she was the daughter of the late Archie and Sadie (Livingstone) Beaton. She was a long-time active and enthusiastic member of the Park St. Baptist Church, now the First Baptist Church in Framingham. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Jeff Smith and his wife Susan of Marlborough and a sister, Margaret Beaton of Framingham. She was the wife of the late Russell Smith and mother of the late Russell Smith and Donald Smith. A private service was held and burial took place at Edgell Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Norton Funeral Home, (www.nortonfuneralhome.com) 53 Beech St., Framingham. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church in Framingham, P.O. Box 2415, Framingham, MA 01703.
