Rebecca B. Hedin

Rebecca B. (Neblett) Hedin, 58, of Framingham, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, after a short illness. She was the wife of William A. Hedin. They had been married for the past 17 years. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, daughter of the late John and Wayne Ann (Howard) Neblett, she had been a resident of Framingham for more than 20 years and had previously been a longtime resident of Sudbury. Rebecca was a graduate of Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, Class of 1972, Wheelock College in Boston, Class of 1977 and earned a master's degree at Leslie College in 1998. She was a director at Kingsley Montessori School in Boston. She took great joy spending time with her beloved dogs, Holly and Sadie. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Whitney B. Hunt and her husband, Matthew, of Byfield, Lindsay M. Heim and her husband, Jeffrey, of Sylva, N.C.; two sisters, Tish L. Hawks of Asheville, N.C., and Maggi A. Bailey of Asheville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Avery Hunt, Samuel Hunt and Garret Heim; two nieces, Tara Nyanga and Brecken Ruland and their families. She is also survived by Philomena Turieo Hedin, Jane Hedin, Danny Hedin, Kyle Hedin, Thomas Hedin and Louis Turieo Sr., all of Marlborough. Funeral services are Thursday, September 20, at 10 a.m., at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
