Barbara Dunn Obituary

Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Langham Dunn, age 82, a resident of Daphne, AL died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her Lake Forest home. She was one of eleven children born to the late Laudy Langham and Maude Drew Langham of Bay Minette. Bobbie graduated from Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette in the class of 1952 where she was a cheerleader. Following graduation she was employed with Merle Norman Studios in Mobile prior to opening her own Beauty Salon in Spanish Fort which she operated for many years. Upon her retirement she enjoyed traveling abroad numerous times with her husband to Singapore, Taiwan and Bangkok Thailand on his special assignments with AT&T. She was an active member of the Lake Forest Yacht and Country Club and was associated in Mobile Mardi Gras Societies for more than 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bennie C. Dunn of Daphne, AL; two sons, Clark (Amy) Dunn of Montgomery, AL and Kevin (Crissy) Dunn of Leroy, AL; six grandchildren, Carlie Dunn, Anne Auston and Mary Hunter all of Montgomery, AL and Cole Dunn, Luke Dunn and Haley Wood all of Leroy, AL; three sisters, Thelma Little of Bay Minette, AL, Betty Doss of Gulf Breeze, FL and Sheron Johnson of Fairhope, AL and one brother, Tommy Langham of Bay Minette, AL. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Lee, Lloyd, Alex and Billy Langham and two sisters, Polly Minor Sanders and Deanie Hermann. In honoring her wishes there will be no funeral service since her body will be donated to the College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama for future study of Science, however a memorial service will be held at a later date. If you so desire, a contribution in Bobbies memory may be made to the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 1660 Springhill Ave., Mobile, AL 36604; Pilots for Christ Alabama Chapter or to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank her Hospice caregivers, Enita Benjamin and Amy Patton.
