My sincere condolences to the family. Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Dick's family, I was a part of his Scott Paper Company "family" and want you all to know that it was my pleasure to work with him. He was a brilliant man and a true gentleman.

I've missed Dick so much since he's been at Cogburn. He was such an active part of All Saints. I always looked forward to seeing him on the "pulpit side" of the church as we processed in with the choir, and making his slow and careful way forward for communion. I've never before known anyone with the perserverance that Dick showed in coming to Wednesday Eucharist, in making it to as many Supper Club meetings as he could, and just simply in "keeping on keeping on." Bruce and I enjoyed the opportunity to pick him up and take him to Supper Club on many occasions. We love him, and miss him.

May light perpetual shine on Dick.

Genie,
I am so sorry for your loss, but what a relief to know that your dad is free from everything that bound him! I have never known someone who fought as hard as he did to overcome so many failures of the body, to remain independent, and to still have a positive outlook. He was quite an example to all of us who complain about minor aches and pains. We will miss him at All Saints!
