Candida Blanco Obituary

CANDIDA BLANCO DEC 01, 1922 - OCT 20, 2010 Born Candida (Connie/Candi) Cabrillas in Ewa Plantation, Hawaii and long-time resident of Livingston, died peacefully at her home after a three-year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The daughter of Thomas and Sopriana Cabrillas, she is preceded in death by her only sister, Anita. Candi is survived by Pete Blanco, the epitome of a devoted husband, sharing fiftyfour years of dedication and love. Candi is survived by two daughters Esther Romero (Edward), Donna Machado (Ernest) and son Ted Navarro. Eleven grand children, nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Her only living brother Joe Cabrillas (Jean), three nieces, four great nephews, three great nieces and one great, great nephew. Candi embodied the essence of love through her roles as daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She possessed and gavelove through selflessness and entered the hearts of many. She was most known by her giving nature. Candi was a collector of nick-knacks and sentimental gifts, always with the intention to give them away. Retired from Tri Valley, Plant #6 in Turlock. She was active in her community, Santo Nino and the VFW Women's Auxiliary and LDT Lodge. She was a natural gardener and a terrific cook. Her faith and devotion were unwavering to the end as she lived through communion, fellowship and her labor of love as a member of Saint Jude's Thaddeus Church in Livingston. Candi lived for her family and friends and she touched all those she knew and became significant even in the lives of strangers. In her eighty-eight years, Candi lived her faith and expressed her gratitude for a wonderful existence. An existence that shaped life, gave love and hopefor those she left behind. Her faith endured to her last breath, a hiccup of love for her family, a sigh for the reveal of God's face. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Blessed Rosary at 6:00 p.m. all at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 330 Franci Street, Livingston, CA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Harvey Fonseca, O.S.B., Obl. officiating. Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery in Winton, CA. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Atwater. www.modbee.com/obituaries
