Doris Maisie Lee McDonald

DORIS MAISIE LEE MCDONALD AUG 28, 1918 - AUG 28, 2010 Doris M. McDonald, a well-known resident of Modesto, passed away on her 92nd birthday. Born in Warner, Alberta, Canada, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank in 2008 and by family member Allan J. Blackley in 2001. She is survived by family members Beverleyanne Vogel of Phoenix, AZ, Margie Blackley and Sterling Blackley of Nanaimo, BC, Canada, Rebecca Gornick of Victoria, BC, Canada, Denise Strachan of Kimberley, BC, Canada and their families. Doris moved to California from Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1957 and retired from Franzia Winery as ranch accountant in 1982. Doris enjoyed golf, being a past member of Spring Creek Country Club, and also was an avid square dancer and round dancer. Doris was a round dance instructor along with husband, Frank, for over 35 years. She was a life member of C.C.S.D.A., N.C.R.D.T.A., also of URDC Roundalab, National Carousels #49 and instructor for the Happy Rounders Dance Club. Doris, along with her husband, Frank, were prior owners of Frandor Square & Round Dance Center. A private memorial will be held at a later date. www.modbee.com/obituaries
