Jennifer Gipe-Crum Obituary

JENNIFER LYNN GIPE-CRUM MAY 20, 1963 - SEP 27, 2010 Jennifer "Jenny" Lynn Gipe-Crum was unexpectedly called to Heaven, to be with her Lord and Savior, on September 27, 2010. Jenny was the beloved wife and soulmate of Marc Crum, step mother to Jairett Crum and Brittan Hall, beloved daughter of DeWayne and Susan Gipe of Sonora, and sister to Cindy Roads of Salinas and Debbie Mesa. Jenny, also, is survived by her Aunt and Uncle Ted and Chris Slater, of Sonora and her Aunt Shirley of Salinas, along with cousins Diane Pemberton, Judy Andreasian and Tina Paeilli. She enjoyed many happy family gatherings with her relatives, while growing up. Jenny was born in Salinas, CA, where she resided until the age of 16, before moving to Sonora, with her family. She attended Salinas High school for her first two years, then completed the second two at Sonora High school. Jenny's kind and giving heart, helped with her work at the Social Security Administration. She, also, was deeply involved, along with her husband Marc, in their church, serving Christ with a happy heart. She leaves behind many brothers and sisters in Christ, as well. There are not words enough, to express how much our dearest girl will be missed, but Our Lord needed her more. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday October 2, 2010, at the Calvary Chapel of Sonora, in Soulsbyville. Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home, in Sonora, are helping with arrangements. www.modbee.com/obituaries

I have been trying to find Jenny for so long and can't believe I came across this. It was the last thing I expected. She was such a good friend growing up and the two years at Salinas High while she was there. She came to my wedding in Reno and contacted each other back and forth and then lost contact. She was such a sweet person. I'm sorry for all of your losses and I know how hard it is for you. I lost one of my twin sons at 13 and the pain eases but never completely goes away. Again sorry for your loss.

Dear DeWayne, Susan and family,
We were saddened to learn of your daughter Jennifer passing so unexpectedly. We go way back in fond family memories of the years we played together and then our daughters later on. Your Mom, DeWayne, would be so happy that Jennifer looks so much like she did. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Fondly, George & Betty Ann (Alioto) Switzer

Susan and Dewayne,
So sorry to hear about Jenny. It was shocking news and I feel so bad for you and her family. It is so hard to lose a loved one unexpectedly and I know first hand that nothing that anyone says right now well make the pain any less. Just try to take comfort in knowing that she was loved much by many. Hugs to you all,
Angie Parker and family

Jenny helped me (at work) through a very terrible time in my life, right after my husband suffered a nearly killer stroke...I only had the pleasure of meeting her once and speaking on the phone a few times, but she was a very blessed person and I am SURE will be missed greatly by those who were lucky enough to really know her...

I'll never forget my cousin, Jenny's, beautiful eyes and hardy laugh. I'll fondly remember the many family gatherings for holidays and birthdays we shared, while growing up in Salinas as well as the times I baby sat her, Cindy and Debbie when they were young. It seems like just yesterday. Jenny was a very fun, kind-hearted and caring person; much too young to leave this earth. But we all know, we don't get to make that decision when our time comes. I imagine Jenny in Heaven, looking down on her loved ones and wanting all to know that while all of us left behind are saddened by her leaving, she's at peace and happy to be with her Lord. My heart goes out to Susan, Dewayne, Cindy, Debbie, her husband, Marc and the rest of her extended family. May your faith and time help you cope in the days and months ahead.

Love, Doris
