JOSE PANTALION MELENDREZ JUL 27, 1922 - DEC 25, 2010 Jose Pantaleon Melendrez July 27, 1922 - December 25, 2010. Resident of Oakdale, CA. After a courageous 88 years of life, Jose passed away peacefully at his home in Oakdale, CA. Jose was born and raised in Arizona and lived for the most part of his life in the bay area where he worked as a Crane operator in San Francisco. He also spent a number of his final years in Teocaltiche, Mexico Before returning to the states. For the last two years he has resided in Oakdale, CA with his Son and daughter in Law, Joe and Isabel Melendrez. He was one of 12 children born to the late Rosalio and Anastasia Melendrez and was the beloved husband of Imogene Jean Melendrez. Jose is Survived by his loving Children, Jerry, Toni, Joann, and Joey, His Treasured Grandchildren, Vanessa, Joey, Cameron, and Isabel and his Devoted Great-grand- children, Dominique, Hannah, Nivea, Nayeli, and Natalia, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Jose loved listening to Mariachi Music, watching Sanford and Son, and one of his most treasured hobbies, Gardening for which he possessed the magical green Thumb. He enjoyed being with his family, having his morning coffee and Most of all being outdoors. Jose touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family were invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The family loved having all who knew him and had a special memory of him come and say their final goodbyes, as his Life and Legacy were memorialize.
