Leon Pettitt Obituary

LEON SHERWOOD PETTITT JUL 11, 1933 - NOV 12, 2010 ....born with the sea in his blood and an old salt at heart, set his final sail on November 12, 2010. He began lifes journey in Prescott, AZ on July 11, 1933. He served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard and retired from the Operating Engineers after 50 years. He shared lifes adventures and his love for the ocean with those that knew him best. He leaves behind on lifes shores, his loving wife Nola of 26 years; 6 children, Judy Pettitt and Tamra Benson of Modesto, CA, Danielle White of Arroyo Grande, CA, Eddie Goad of Santa Rosa, CA, Robert Goad of Oakdale, CA, Kim Dillon of Oakdale, CA; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Young. He was preceded in death by his brother Leo Pettitt. His wishes were to be cremated and scattered quietly at sea. www.modbee.com/obituaries
