Mike, you were a fine friend for all the years that I have known you. Your talents helped make our filmmaking ventures worth all the hard work we put into them. I will miss you but will never forget you. Bless you and your family.

Mike will be missed! I never heard him say an unkind word to anyone in the entire 40 (almost) years of being his niece. He was incredible at landscaping as well. I will always remember his gigantic animal bushes and amazing yards! The world lost a sweet man!

Michael and I were roommates for several years in the late 1970's. We worked together on several films. I always enjoyed discussing creative ideas with him. Mike had big dreams and worked very hard at what he loved doing. I always enjoyed his humor and his positive outlook on life. He has left us much too soon and will be missed. Richard Jantz

I read about Mike's passing today in the paper and was very sad. I am so glad I knew Mike in our younger years. We spent some happy times skiing, skating, and and hanging out. He has always stayed in my memory as a talented, kind, funny and caring person. I still have a World Atlas he gave me many years ago to "keep my journeys safe and well charted". To Mike's family and friends--I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely,
Kim Wood-Hiatt
