Faye Montgomery Obituary

FAYE LUCILLE (MOYER) MONTGOMERY JUN 10, 1928 - NOV 30, 2010 Faye Lucille Montgomery, 82 years old from Empire, California, was born to Hazel (Shoup) and Philip Moyer in Argentine, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings. She entered Heaven peacefully with family at her side at the Community Hospice House, Hughson, California. She was married in Pennsylvania on Aug. 6, 1946 to Msgt Samuel G. Montgomery whose been her loving husband and friend for 64 years. They traveled the world until Sam's retirement from the US Army. Their family started in China, Germany then Panama. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. During the 1940's she enjoyed singing and playing the guitar which lead her to perform on the radio. They moved to California in 1966. She worked in food processing until her retirement. They were members of the Modesto Doll Club, which they enjoyed immensely. Soon after they began repairing dolls and making their own. They loved camping and the outdoors with family. As time went on the camping became less and they found bingo to be as entertaining. She loved to sew, crochet and knit plus making doll clothes for her granddaughters. She leaves behind her loving husband Sam, son, Dennis (Patricia), daughter, Pamela Meyer (Ron) and son Richard (Michelle). Two surviving sisters Ginger Mayhugh and Sandra Hoover from PA. Grandchildren: Denise Heister, Vickie Saad, Ronda Davis, Ron Meyer Jr., Melissa Montgomery, Spec4 Richard Montgomery, US Army, and Michael Montgomery. Greatgrandchildren: Patricia Leeann Nason, and Guy (GT) Nason, Dennis Heister, Jessica Saad, Samuel Davis, Haley Meyer and Sara Montgomery. Private services were held. Remembrance's can be made to The Community Hospice House in Hughson, California. www.modbee.com/obituaries

I can´t believe you have been gone for 14 years grandma. There isn´t a day that goes by that you, grandpa or dad don´t slip into my mind and a story is shared. I was so lucky to have so many memories filled with love, laughter and sweetness from you. I still love to bake and use your cookbooks you gave me... I am a sucker now for a good soup and loaf of bread.. I hope you are laughing with grandpa, dad and uncle Ricky.. so much love gone from this earth, miss you dearly, loves

I didn't even know this was here. Thank You all for your warm thoughts. It's been 9 days since Mom's death. We do miss her so, but find Solis in knowing she was met by her family gone before her. When she slipped from this earth, she entered Heaven with many watery eyes awaiting her. That's comforting some how. To know she has her health and memories again. Thank you God for allowing Her to be my Mother, my Mom, Mama, Mum, Mommy, ..... I have been honored, I have been Blessed.
