Richard Rosemire Obituary

RICHARD B. ROSEMIRE APR 14, 1921 - DEC 8, 2010 Dick Rosemire was born in Walden, NY and settled in California in 1946 after serving in the US Army. He died peacefully at home Wednesday. He farmed in Gustine prior to working 30 years at the local Foremost Creamery until his retirement. Dick served in WWII overseas and upon return, married Carol Beckstead before making Gustine their home. Dick was known for personal strength and caring, among his many attributes. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol Rosemire, of Gustine, along with three sons and a daughter: Michael (Adeline) Rosemire of Salinas; Richard M. (Marie) Rosemire of Gustine; David (Diane) Rosemire of Twin Falls, ID; Dorothy (David) Sanches of Gustine. He is also survived by five granddaughters and two grandsons as well as three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. and Theressa Rosemire; and two sisters, Lucy Eignor and Lillian Elston. No services.
