STEWART L. BLOCHER JUNE 2, 1940 - OCT 11, 2010 Cremation rites have been held for Stewart L. Blocher, 70, of Coos Bay, Oregon (formerly of Modesto) under the direction of Nelson's Bay Area Mortuary. Stewart was born June 2, 1940 at Modesto, California, the son of George and Juanita (York) Blocher. He died October 11, 2010 at his Coos Bay home. Stewart was raised and educated in Modesto and after high school he joined the Navy where he served for four years. He attended college for several years before going to work as a long haul trucker delivering goods throughout the western states. He was married to Sherron Holloway in Reno, Nevada on November 4, 1972 and they made their home in Modesto until Stewart retired six years ago and they moved to Coos Bay, Oregon. Stewart enjoyed working on and restoring vintage cars, working with model trains, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was much loved and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Sherron Blocher of Coos Bay, OR, son, Dale E. Blocher of Garden Grove, CA; son, Jordan Raine Blocher of Coos Bay, OR; daughter, Shelene Pearl Alyxander of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Maxine Nash and Agnes Blocher of Klamath Falls, OR. He was preceded in death by his father, George Blocher and his mother, Juanita Chrones.
